CMBE Joins San Diego SBEAl Jason of CMBE visited us this summer. In fact, he has been getting the word around at various chapters this year. What started off as selling broadcast antennas has turned into a real passion for determining, and improving, real coverage for FM and TV stations.
He has been analyzing coverage for broadcasters the same way cellular providers have been doing for themselves for a few years now; i.e., driving around with a calibrated antenna in a given market, measuring signals, and recording the results. They are then plotted in various ways that readily show strengths and weaknesses of the client's signal on a map of the client's metropolitan area. See the site at REALcoverage.com.
Chip Morgan, namesake of the company, with his associates, specialize in studio system construction, improving the station's electronics, aesthetics, and ergonomics to meet a client station's goals and budget. Visit them at broadcastsystems.com.
We appreciate having CMBE a sustaining member.
